La Federazione Speleologica Toscana ha il piacere di annunciare la pubblicazione di un nuovo aggiornamento del modello 3D delle grotte che si aprono sulle Alpi Apuane. Le commissioni Catasto ed Informatica della FST hanno fatto un ulteriore passo avanti per migliorare ed ampliare una risorsa straordinaria e suggestiva per gli speleologi e non solo.

Il progetto si basa sui dati dei rilievi presenti nel Catasto Grotte di FST. Alla sezione centro-settentrionale della mappa, già disponibile da alcuni mesi sul sito della FST, sono stati aggiunte le cavità della sezione centro-meridionale fino al fiume Serchio. In particolare l’inclusione del complesso Corchia-Farolfi-Fighierà amplia notevolmente la portata del modello, consentendo una visione completa e dettagliata della vasta rete sotterranea apuana.

Varie cartografie disponibili

I dati delle grotte sono integrati col modello DTM della superficie terrestre e con varie cartografie. In particolare si può scegliere tra:

1. CTR (Carta Tecnica Regionale Bianco/Nero e Colore): Strumento utile per lo studio dei dettagli topografici e la pianificazione delle spedizioni speleologiche.
2. Geologica: Carta più tecnica che fornisce informazioni dettagliate sulla geologia delle aree in cui insistono le cavità Apuane.
3. OFC (Orto Foto Carte RT 20cm 2021): Una visualizzazione “vera” delle Apuane e delle grotte al loro interno.
4. OSM (Open Street Map): Mappa che fornisce una visione generale delle Alpi Apuane con le strade ed i sentieri, aiutando gli utenti a localizzare accuratamente la posizione delle grotte.

Il modello 3D delle Grotte Apuane è un esempio di come la tecnologia e la speleologia possano convergere per migliorare la nostra comprensione del mondo ipogeo ed offre una risorsa preziosa per la pianificazione delle spedizioni speleologiche e la conoscenza dettagliata delle grotte. Esso, tuttavia, non è solo uno strumento per gli speleologi ma può essere utilizzato da geologi, escursionisti, appassionati di natura e studiosi di scienze della terra per scoprire l’ambiente unico delle Grotte Apuane. Per la sua complessità e per la notevole quantità di dati il modello è tanto affascinante quanto difficile da gestire, per questo sono allo studio nuovi strumenti per rendere la sua fruizione più accessibile e versatile.In conclusione, il modello 3D delle Grotte Apuane di FST è un modo innovativo per presentare la struttura dell’ambiente ipogeo e per facilitare la comprensione della sua complessità; le cartografie dettagliate, poi, offrono un’opportunità senza precedenti di esplorare virtualmente questo ambiente sotterraneo unico e bellissimo.
